Want that pouty lipped look like Miss Jenner? Don’t want to risk needles or knives? Never fear!
I started out with no products on my lips.
Next, I moisturized my lips with Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask. You can use any good quality moisturizer or balm.
Third, use a concealer or highlighting pen. I used Dermablend’s Quick Fix Illuminator- Yves Saint Laurent Touche Éclat is another good one. You can even use a concealer and skinny brush- just make sure that whatever you use is slightly lighter than your skin tone. Highlight the top of your lip line, and draw two short perpendicular lines just (follow your natural contours) just above your cupid’s bow. Next, highlight along the center of your lower lip line. Please excuse my messy lines- normally, they look better, but they wouldn’t show up as well in the photo. At least this proves you don’t have to be perfect…lol! Then blend slightly.
Next, line your lips with a neutral color. I used Too Faced Perfect Spice.
Add one coat of lipstick- I used Lipstick Queen’s Pink Sinner. Blot, then add another coat. If you need to, you can reline. (You can get Lipstick Queen lipsticks as well as other products used in this tutorial at Nordstrom- see the banner above for a special deal good through August 31, 2015.)
Next, add lip gloss. I used Too Faced Glamour Gloss in Sex Pot.
Finally, add a dab of shimmery or sparkly eyeshadow (or you can use highlighter) to the cupid’s bow and to the center of your bottom lip. I used Urban Decay’s Bobby Dazzle. Voila!
Tip: I have found this works better with a more subdued color. Using brighter or darker colors doesn’t seem to work as well. (Think about contouring and highlighting- the darker colors “retreat,” while the lighter areas stand out.)
This looks great on you!
Thanks!! I had fun with this one! And it was a good excuse to try out a new exfoliator and BB cream! 🙂
