Hello, hello, hello!  Hope you’re all doing swimmingly well!  (Did somebody say, “swimming…?!”)

Well, if you’ve been keeping up with our site, you know I do a lot of exercising, and I’ve been recovering from a cranial nerve issue, which results in extreme vertigo.  So, I was unbelievably ecstatic when I got Hask’s new Chia Seed Volumizing Dry Shampoo in the mail, along with a cute tote bag!

Jerry and I both use dry shampoo, so much so that we tend to hoard the stuff.  Needless to say, we’ve become sort of dry shampoo connoisseurs…lol!  I tend to only wash my hair every other day, but with the vertigo, I had to go quite a bit longer.  I could easily use wipes or a cloth to sponge-bathe myself, but moving my head around to wash my hair was unthinkable!  Going more than a day without washing, I need more than just any dry shampoo, I need something that WORKS.

Hask Chia Seed Volumnizing Dry Shampoo purportedly allows you to skip a washing and helps extend your style with long-lasting oil absorption.  The chia seed-infused formula transforms lifeless hair into voluminous locks, while ultra-fine rice starch quickly soaks up sweat, odor, and excess oil to leave hair clean and bouncy.

This dry shampoo is housed in an easy to use spray can- the dry powder spray that comes out isn’t too coarse, nor too fine.  It has a light, fresh scent that’s not overpowering, and it’s easy to brush through my hair.

I always worry about dry shampoos that aren’t made specifically for dark hair, as many of them leave a visible white residue in my hair.  Also, there aren’t many formulas that don’t leave residue that will actually perform as well as I would like.  Hask Chia Seed Volumizing Dry Shampoo is one the few that does what I want, without leaving white stuff behind!

I went Thursday through Monday without washing my hair, which is pretty much unheard of me for me.  I still had a desire to wash it, just because of habit, but it didn’t look horrible, nor did it feel greasy or gross.  My hair was light and bouncy!

Jerry also used this, and unlike many others, he liked the scent.  He prefers scented dry shampoos because then he knows his hair won’t stink…lol.  But, so many of them are overpowering, and this was just right.  He thought the performance rivaled pricier brands on the market, and controlled his oily roots very well.

Overall, Jerry and I were both very pleased with the Hask Chia Seed Volumizing Dry Shampoo, and will more than likely get more when this runs out.  Hask also has three other formulas- Argan, Coconut, and Charcoal Purifying Dry Shampoo, and they’re all available at Ulta.  For more info, head over to their Instagram profile or haskbeauty.com!
