Glow Daily Vitamin C Gel Cream Moisturizer
This moisturizer contains an effective, natural blend of stable Vitamin C and magnesium that’s great for all skin types. The formula hydrates and brightens while enhancing your natural radiance. Vitamin C helps reduce hyperpigmentation and illuminate, while also addressing wrinkles and fine lines. Magnesium helps replenish and nourish the skin, and the complexion is brightened (Ren Skincare, 2019).
Ren Glow Daily Vitamin C Gel Cream is housed in a sanitary, easy-to-use pump bottle that protects the product from contamination via air exposure. The formula is light and easily absorbed, even on my oily skin. It has a pleasant fresh fragrance that’s natural and dissipates quickly. So, if you’re sensitive to fragrance, you should still be good with this! I love that my skin feels hydrated without feeling “suffocated” or greasy.
If you have really dry skin, you may want to add another moisturizer over this, such as one of the oils from Ren- but I haven’t had any problems with using just the gel cream on its own. As always, make sure to layer your sun protection with this!
AHA Smart Renewal Body Serum
This moisturizing body serum has a lotion-like texture with 10% AHAs to gently exfoliate and restore radiance. The resurfacing formula targets dryness and dullness while the natural exfoliation helps even out pigmentation and increase cell renewal. Probiotic extract aids in locking in moisture for deep hydration (Ren Skincare, 2019).
Ren AHA Smart Renewal Body Serum is housed in a convenient, opaque squeeze tube, which makes it super easy to use right out of the shower. The serum is more of a lotion or cream texture, which is great because it doesn’t run all over the place, but still absorbs very quickly. It has a fresh scent that makes me feel pampered and happy! I love that this helps exfoliate, as it really does a good job of addressing the itchiness I get from the dry winter air.
The only negative with the Smart Renewal Body Serum is that you have to be religious with your sun protection. As with any and all AHA products, your skin will become hypersensitive to UV. If you’re new to this type of product, start off using just a small amount until your skin adjusts, then gradually increase. Once you become accustomed to it, you will have the smoothest skin ever!
Ready Steady Glow Daily AHA Tonic
This 2-in-1 exfoliator and resurfacing toner helps promote natural cell turnover, evens out skin tone, diminishes the appearance of pores, and helps create a radiant glow. A blend of saliclyclic, lactic, and azelaic acids helps shed surface cells and polish away imperfections. Lactic acid and willow bark extract smooth, tone, and address pores, while azelaic acid lightens and brightens (Ren Skincare, 2019).
Ren Ready Steady Glow Daily AHA Tonic has quickly become a fave toner. The brand DEFINITELY gets the award for best packaging- the toner is housed in a pump bottle that just sits on your counter, and all you have to do is press down on it with a tissue, cotton, or even just your fingers, and the liquid is dispensed. I wish all similar products were packaged like this!
I haven’t noticed any issues with this, even though I have hypersensitive skin. A bit of tingling is normal, so not much to worry about there. But, as mentioned above, if you’re new to using AHA products, start off slowly, with a very small amount to see how your skin reacts. If you experience any actual irritation, use very sparingly every other day until your skin adjusts. AND MAKE SURE TO WEAR SUN PROTECTION!
Overall, I’m thrilled with these products. I would say the only drawback is that I can’t find them in any stores in my area, but that’s all good- Ren has a program on their site where you can earn points to get discounts.
