As I mentioned in my post about the Hask Kalahari Melon Oil line (found here). Hask is one of the only hair care lines I trust that isn’t exclusively found in salons.
After falling in love with the Monoi Deep Conditioner, and having the opportunity to try the Kalahari Melon Oil line, I was thrilled to receive the Bamboo Oil products!
Bamboo oil, one of Asia’s natural treasures, has been proven to strengthen hair and provide essential nutrients to help revive lifeless and weakened strands. Combined with biotin and collagen, silicone-rich bamboo oil gives a strong foundation to hair, and improves flexibility and split ends (Hask, 2016).
I have long, thick, hair that has been left damaged and weak from coloring and heat styling, so the strengthening effects of the Hask Bamboo Oil line sounded very promising. I was ecstatic when the mail arrived with the Bamboo Oil Shampoo, Conditioner, Deep Conditioner, Shine Oil, and a cute bag!
The Hask Bamboo Oil line helps protect hair from breakage and other damage, not only with bamboo oil, but with ProDefense Complex, biotin, and collagen. The shampoo, ideal for all hair types, fortifies while it cleanses, providing stronger and healthier looking hair (Hask, 2016). Just like with the Kalahari Melon shampoo, this one lathered and cleansed really well, despite being sulfate-free. My hair felt super clean without being dried out.
The Hask Bamboo Oil Conditioner was light enough that it didn’t weigh down my hair, but it moisturized very well, leaving my hair soft and shiny. It rinsed out easily, leaving absolutely no residue.
The Deep Conditioner was a more intense version of the regular conditioner, but still light weight enough that it didn’t leave any heaviness or residue. My long hair was also a LOT easier to comb through after using this!
The Strengthening Shine Treatment oil was an equally fabulous product. It absorbed easily and left my hair shiny, silky, and smooth. As with the Kalahari Shine Treatment, make sure not to use too much. The best method of application I found was to rub a few drops between my hands, then distribute it through my hair, avoiding the roots. I do wish this came with a pump or a pour spout because the vial can get a bit messy. However, at such a great price, I’m totally okay with this!
All the Bamboo Oil products have a nice, refreshing herbal fragrance. It’s very invigorating and energizing, which is great when I haven’t had enough sleep! The scent doesn’t linger, though, after your hair dries, so no worries about it interfering with any colognes or lotions you wear.
I have used several shampoos and conditioners with silicone, and it does seem to build up, so I was a bit worried. However, after using the Hask products several times, I didn’t notice this occurring, so this is a huge plus. Overall, the Hask Bamboo Oil line is a very fantastic set of hair care products, especially for the price. If you have hair that needs strengthening, you can’t go wrong!
