I got the brand’s new FreshFace Instant Glow Luminizer in Sunset, as well as the one in Starlight. They are purported to provide a natural looking glow to all skin tones, while moisturizing at the same time, resulting in a soft, radiant complexion. The lightweight formula also improves the skin’s appearance, leaving it supple, smooth, and silky.

These luminizers aren’t like just any other luminizer or highlighter, though. They’re a legit skincare product, with pampering, good-for-you ingredients. Meadowfoam seed oil helps to moisturize and soften, Vitamin C helps tone while Vitamin E softens, cucumber extract helps soothe, and evening primrose helps to keep the skin smooth and supple. Sounds pretty fab, huh?

These luminizers remind me of the NARS formulas in that they’re very versatile- you can apply them directly to bare skin, wear under or over makeup, and you can even mix them with your moisturizer or foundation. But, as they’re an actual skincare product, the FreshFace luminizers are packed with skin-loving ingredients.
FreshFace Instant Glow Luminizer is packaged in a convenient, easy to use, sanitary squeeze tube. There’s no dipping your fingers into a pot over and over again, and it’s easy to dispense just the right amount. There’s a very slight fresh scent, but it’s not strong, you have to actually make an effort to smell it, so there’s no clash with other products.
Wearing Sunset
The formula glides on easily and doesn’t feel sticky or greasy. The effect is actually buildable, so you can have more or less of a glow, especially if you’re applying on top of makeup, which is my fave way to wear this stuff.

The Sunset shade is a golden tone, so you get a sunkissed glow, while the Starlight is a silvery white for a cool, starlit glow. I really liked both of them, especially the Sunset- as it will help me feel “summery” all year round! The Starlight shade is perfectly named, because it’s great for evening wear- I think it will also be perfect for frosty winter looks, too.

The thing I like about these luminizers is that you can control how much glow you get. I can use a little bit, or wear under makeup for a subtle glow, or more if I want something dramatic. Plus, you can’t beat the versatility. I even experimented with using the Sunset on top of the Starlight, to make the glow “pop” more.
Starlight
As I mentioned at the beginning, I took these on a trip to California, and they were perfect for travel. They fit in my travel bag easily, and the flip top cap is snug enough that they didn’t pop open during flight- which is a huge plus.
