It’s hump day again!!  Hope you’re all having a marvelous week!

It’s been a long, long, long, LOOOOOONNNNGGG time since we’ve done a Face of the Day post.  Since I’ve been trying my best to get excited for fall and cooler weather, I’ve been playing around with some fun eyeliner looks.  The excitement for cooler days hasn’t happened, but I HAVE had a lot of fun playing in makeup!

Although I usually do my eyes first, I’ll tell you about those last, since those were most involved…

I started with a clean face and did my skincare routine, prepped with REN Perfect Canvas Silicone Free Skin Finishing Serum (review here), then followed up with foundation.  I was going to use Juice Beauty’s Flawless Serum Foundationicon (read about it here) or one of my new ones from Charlotte Tilbury (reviews here and here) since those have been my faves lately, but then I realized I hadn’t used my Make Up For Ever Ultra HD in a while, so I went with that in shade Y345.  I touched up with Juice Beauty Perfecting Concealer in Sand, and then Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powdericon.

Since I’m always in search of an endless summer, I couldn’t resist using Steiner’s California Sun Glowicon (review here), my fave bronzer (plus it comes in the cutest little terra cotta pot!).  For cheeks, I used my Pixi x Aspyn Ovard Glow-y Powder in Rome Rose (review here), and Fenty Beauty Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter in Trophy Wife.

I prepped my lips with Pixi Beauty Nourishing Lip Polish (review here) so they’d be smoother and softer.  I lined with Huda Beauty’s Lip Contour pencil in Icon, then finished with Pixi Mattelustre Lipstick in Bitten Rose (review here).  The cool thing about this lipstick formula is that you can leave it as I did for a satin finish, or blot it with your finger for a more matte finish.  Nifty, huh?

Now for the EYES!!!

I prepped my lids with Elizabeth Mott’s primer, then used the beige-ish shade from the Viseart Chroma III palette all over my lids, from lash line to brows.  I used the darkest shade from the same palette on my lids, from the lash line to the the crease, then blended the gunmetal shade from the same palette into the creases.  I blended Makeup Geek’s Anarchy, a reddish shade, into the gunmetal and just above.

I used all Prestige Cosmetics liners- they’re a great value if you want to experiment with different colors.  I did wings with the black Vinyl liner, then did a strip of metallic gold liquid liner right above the wings.  The Velvet Smoky Eye Pencil was perfect in my water line.

I finished the look off with The Brow Gal brow palette for my brows, and Buxom Big Tease mascara and a pair of cruelty-free mink lashes.

As for taking it all off?  Removing this much makeup used to be a pain in the a$$.  Now it’s SO easy- I used Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balmicon, which got it ALL off with no scrubbing, and followed with my FOREO Luna Mini 2 and the Elemis Gentle Foaming Facial Wash.  Easy-peasy!

I had a lot of fun playing around- and I’ll probably do a few more experiments using these metallic liners.  If you have any fab ideas, scroll down to comment below!
