February 2018 Ipsy Glam Bag

Hey everyone!  Hope you’re all having a GLAM week!

It’s been a while since I’ve posted about an Ipsy bag, so I figured it’s about time to do so again.  Not sure why I haven’t thought to do so lately, just been so busy with other posts…lol.

If you’re not familiar with Ipsy, it’s a beauty subscription.  You get a makeup bag and five products each month for just $10, with free shipping.  Sometimes the bags are ugly, sometimes they’re really, really cute.  Some of the products are pretty small samples, but you never get just sample packets or fragrance samples, like with Birchbox, they’re usually all at least deluxe sized.  BUT… sometimes you even get FULL SIZED products!

You also get points for reviewing products and referring friends, which you can exchange for products.  Also, when you review the products (short mini reviews), you can also let them know if a brand, shade, or product just isn’t for you,  so you won’t be as likely to get more of something you don’t really want.

They’ve also added a “store” where you get immediate cash back on purchasing products.  This means you get products from major brands at discounted prices.  For example, right now you can get the new Too Faced Life’s a Festival palette for just $37.80.  Pretty fab, huh?

Sometimes, I get an item I don’t particularly have a use for, and I pass it on to a friend.  But, it’s always worth a good bit more than the $10 price tag.  This month’s Glam Bag was pretty awesome, as the products have all proven to be quite useful for me.  Plus, the bag itself was really cute, too!

Ipsy Glam Bag February 2018

My February Ipsy Glam Bag contained the following:

Seraphine Botanicals Lychee + Gold Rose-Gold Blush– This FULL SIZED blush is a gorgeous peachy shade with flecks of gold.  It looks absolutely stunning, and it’s silky and buildable. Very happy with this!

Hey Honey Come Undone Face & Eye Daily Makeup Remover– As a beauty blogger, I try all sorts of makeup, so I go through a LOT of makeup changes…lol.  This has come in very handy in helping remove it all quickly and easily.

treStique Mini Eye Pencil in Swiss Chocolate– The first time I got a treStique product in an Ipsy bag, as soon as I opened the bag, I thought the cap had come off…lol!  The packaging is really cute- the lids look like pencil tips!  I’ve always like all the products from this brand, but I don’t really use brown liners.  There are times when I like to use brown, so it’s nice to have one on hand that I didn’t have to fork out lots of $$$ for.

Luxie Beauty Blending and Shading Brush– This full sized brush is the bomb dot com.  I’ve gotten Luxie brushes in bags before, and I really like them.  They’re soft, and they pick up and deposit makeup like a charm.

Apto Skincare Moisture Retaining Day Lotion – I have oily/combo skin, so I was really happy to see this.  It’s a fantastic addition to my travel bag!

I also used some of my points to get a OUAI Treatment Masque for my hair.  The cold winter weather, and dry air from having to keep the heat on indoors, have not only wreaked havoc on my skin, but on my hair as well.  This stuff smells SO good, and does a great job at moisturizing my hair.

Overall, I’m super happy with this month’s Ipsy bag, all the products have been fab.  My fave is the blush, as it’s just so darn gorgeous!  And, of course, the hair mask!
