Hey you guys!! Hope you all had an awesome Black Friday weekend!
I still can’t accept that summer is over, so I won’t admit winter is almost here, either. One of the few positive things about being stuck down here in the south, away from my family, is that the weather is a bit more temperate.
While it started getting cold at night, it’s around 70 degrees during the day, and I can still wear shorts and t-shirts on my runs. On some days, I’ve even been able to wear a t-shirt and shorts even when I’m not running and getting all sweaty.

So, I came across some seriously fab vegan faux suede high-waisted shorts by Talever from Chifave, that are specifically marketed for fall and winter- let me just say, these are SO cute! They’re reasonably priced, and I wear medium, so they’re true-to-size. I love how versatile they are, and that I can finally have some shorts that are more appropriate for the fall and winter months.
As for a top, some of my fave casual tops are from James Perse. I love the brand because, again, versatility. The brand’s slub knit tops are super comfy, and feel like a soft t-shirt. Plus, this brand is sized differently, so even though my bra size is a 36C, I wear a size 3 or 4 in these…lol! (This is the equivalent of large or x-large.)
I have several James Perse
I also slipped on a pair of boots, and added some black leg warmers for an over-the-knee look, making the outfit even more fall-ish. Unfortunately, since I’m 5’9 1/2″ with long legs, boots don’t come up as high on me, so I have to improvise…lol!
I usually don’t wear boots with shorts because Jerry HATES it- he loathes cowboy boots with anything except jeans, and thinks regular boots are okay with skirts and jeans, but absolutely NO boots, of any kind, with shorts.
But, I’m glad I tried the look anyway, because I kind of felt like Wonder Woman. 😉
