Face of the Day: Turquoise Metallic Cut Crease

So, for July 5th, I wanted to do a fun look for my birthday that would match my tie-dyed Gypsy 05 dress I would be wearing. I haven’t really used any NYX products before, but Jerry got me some eyeliners that you really can’t find in any other brand.

For my hair, I decided to do some lazy beach waves using sea salt spray, I wanted something relaxed to go with my dress.

I primed with Coola Daydream Mineral Primer, then used Urban Decay Naked Skin liquid foundation in shade 7.0 and set with Laura Mercier oil-free loose setting powder.  I contoured and highlighted with Tarte’s Tarteist Contour Palette (read my review here).  For my cheeks, I used Rose Spritz and Champagne Pop from the Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Face Palette .

For my lips, I used Studio Gear True Whipped Stain Gloss in Pebble.  Since we were going out to eat with Jerry’s family, I chose this because not only do I LOVE the shade, but it starts off shiny, and as it wears, it turns into a matte lipstick, then a stain.  So, even after eating a LOT of food, my lips still looked great!  (Use code BEAUXBEAUTY at checkout for a discount at studiogearcosmetics.com!)

Now, for the eyes!  I used Benefit’s new KaBrow in shade 5 for my brows- let me just say, this stuff is super-duper!  I primed my lids with NARS Pro Prime Smudgeproof Eyeshadow Base, and used shadows from the Kat Von D Innerstellar palette.  I used Lycan all over my lids, from lash line to brow, to provide a surface that would allow for easier blending.  I used Lunacy in my creases, Darkstar on the outer corners and transitioned to Moonshine.  I blended out the Lunacy in my crease with Astrological.  To make my crease “pop,” I used NYX Glam Liner Aqua Luxe in Glam Azur.

To finish off my eyes, I did a winged look with Tarte’s Tarteist Clay Paint Liner (read my review here), added some Tarte Lash Paint Mascara, and a set of cruelty-free mink eyelashes.  I was pretty impressed with the wear- my eye makeup lasted, and stayed fresh looking, until I took it off late at night.
