Allergies-schmallergies! I hate allergies. I have sneezed non-stop all year. We’ve had a wetter year than normal, so nothing has dried up- the pollen continues to accumulate, and I continue to be stuffy, sneezy, wheezy, and my eyes stay perpetually puffy.
Because of all the allergens, I’ve been all about eye products this year. Well, Elemis so generously sent me a package, and one of the items was a box of their Pro-Collagen Hydra-Gel Eye Masks, so it felt like it was my lucky day!
Each packet contains a set of two curved sheet masks made to be placed under each eye. The plankton-extract infused hydra-gel is combined with padina pavonica (a brown algae) and chlorella to provide an instant tightening effect, while hyaluronic acid helps hydrate the fragile skin. The result is visibly smoother, intensely moisturized eye contours (Elemis, 2017).

I often stash my eye products in the fridge for a cooling effect that helps reduce puffiness even more, but some products aren’t supposed to be refrigerated. So, I was pleased that the fab folks at Elemis actually suggested refrigerating them. I’ve found that by doing so, my allergy eyes feel SO much better immediately, rather than waiting for the ingredients to take effect.
When I opened the packet, I really liked that these masks were made of the Hydra-Gel rather than the paper or cotton-like material others are made of, as these conformed to the contours of my face and eye area, and stayed in place. It was nice that since I’m always busy and don’t really have time to just sit and relax, I could go on about my regular tasks without the masks falling off.
I was really happy with how hydrated my eye area looked after using the Elemis Pro-Collagen Hydra-Gel Eye Masks. I have the beginnings of crows feet, and these really helped plump the area. I also liked how soothing they were to my puffy allergy eyes. If I could use these every single day, I would.
Unfortunately, the only thing keeping me from using these every day is the price, which is the only negative. They’re $76 for six packets, so it would be cost-prohibitive for me to use them daily, even during allergy season (which this year has been EVERY season). But, for normal use (occasionally), they’re much more economical than paying for a spa treatment- so in that aspect, they’re a great value. I could easily see myself using these weekly, and before events.
If you’re having any issues with puffiness and/or fine lines, you should definitely check out the Pro-Collagen Hydra-Gel Eye Masks from Elemis! Available from Elemis.com, TimetoSpa.com, and Nordstrom.com.
