Happy hump day, everyone!
So, there’s a really fabulous online retailer called Time to Spa, and they sent me some equally fab beauty products to try and share with you guys. If you haven’t heard of Time to Spa, they carry some really luxurious spa brands, including Elemis.
As a matter of fact, a while back I first heard of Time to Spa because of Elemis- a lot of UK bloggers were constantly buzzing about this #1 brand of luxury skincare, so I did a bit of research. As it turned out, Time to Spa was the only official U.S. retailer of the brand. Since luxury brands tend to be really picky with whom they authorize to sell their products, I knew Time to Spa just had to be a top rated store- and I signed up to be an affiliate right away when we started our site…lol!

Anywho, as you can imagine, I was thrilled to have the opportunity to test out some of Time to Spa’s offerings, including the new Elemis Gentle Foaming Facial Wash. I was thoroughly impressed with the service provided by Time to Spa, it only took a couple days for the package to arrive, and they did a fantastic job of packing the items neatly and securely. In addition to the Gentle Foaming Facial Wash, they even included sample packets of the brand’s Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm and Pro-Collagen Marine Cream.
The product itself, Elemis Gentle Foaming Facial Wash, is a purifying, foaming cleanser that’s purported to remove impurities and pollutants without stripping natural oils from the skin. It’s formulated with Amazon pracaxi oil, fig extract, and orange peel wax. The pracaxi oil has high levels of behenic acid, which helps restore lipids, while the fig and orange peel support the skin’s moisture barrier. Skin is left purified, revitalized, and refreshed (Time to Spa, n.d.).
Elemis Gentle Foaming Facial Wash is housed in a squeeze tube that not only looks sleek and lux, but it’s also convenient and easy to use. The tube is wide, so it’s easy to get a good grip on; and it has a flip-top cap- these features make the tube very simple to use one-handed, such as in the shower, etc.
The instructions say to apply the cleanser to dry skin, then wet your hands and massage the cleanser into a foam. The first thing I noticed was the scent- omg, this stuff smells SO awesome- it’s VERY unique and different from any other skincare product. It has almost an earthy, nutty scent, very natural, and very relaxing. It’s not overpowering, though, so no worries if you’re sensitive to fragrance.
I know, I know, a lot of you may be wondering about the foam, because so many foaming cleansers can be so drying. This one’s not- it’s not overly foamy, so there’s no tight, itchy, dryness at all. While I still did my triple cleanse when wearing heavy makeup, this formula did a very effective job of getting my face clean.
The Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm sample packet came in really handy when I had quite a bit of makeup on. This is a great first step if you do double or triple cleansing routines. I applied to dry skin, massaged it around to lift away makeup, then wiped it all away with a warm, damp cloth. The balm easily got through all my makeup, even my eyeliner and mascara!
My skin is pretty sensitized due to using tretinoin, and I didn’t experience any irritation whatsoever with this formula. My skin even felt balanced without having to use a toner to restore pH, so it saved me a step in my routine. The Pro-Collagen Marine Cream was great for finishing off my morning skincare routine. It was rich, yet light at the same time, if that makes sense…lol! It felt luxurious but was easy to smooth on, and absorbed readily. My skin was soft, smooth and clean!
I’m so happy with the Elemis Gentle Foaming Cleanser and Pro-Collagen samples, along with the service I received from Time to Spa.
