I have used quite a few Dr. Brandt products, so I was glad to get to try this out. I received this from LaTasha at Sephora Inside JCP in Shreveport, Louisiana.
This is an exfoliator that works in two ways- it is both a manual and a chemical exfoliator; and as such, it reminded me of Peter Thomas Roth’s Laser Free Retexturizer. It purportedly helps reduce the appearance of pores and helps mattify shine.
I really liked the texture of this, and it was easy to use and work around on my skin. Afterward, my skin was incredibly smooth and soft- I couldn’t stop touching my face! It is gentle, yet very effective. Since I have started using tretinoin, though, this is a bit too harsh for my already hyper-exfoliated skin, and I will use it once every week or two to get rid of the “Retin-A Flakies.” However, I previously would have been able to use this two or three times a week.
This is one of those things that will likely work well for most skin types. If you have dry skin, you will probably find this works well if you use it a couple times a week. Those with oily skin may need to use it less in order to prevent it from triggering the production of excess oil. Give it a try!
Dr. Brandt Pore Dermabrasion retails for $58.00 for 2 oz.
bookmarked!!, I like your site and really want to try this!
Thanks, Julie, I think you’ll really like it!
I love this stuff! This is what I recommend as a take home exfoliation in between microderms for a lot of my clients.
Oh good- I’m glad I have it then!!!! It really did make my skin SO smooth!
