I have a soft spot for companies that give back to society, as it reminds me there are still wonderful things in this world.

Well, DERMA E and Whole Foods have teamed up with @SunKissAlba, on a beauty box to benefit charity. The charity? Special Olympics! Having several special needs people in my life, and having participated in the Special Olympics Torch Run as a deputy coroner, the organization has a place in my heart.
Anywho, the idea is that Alba would select her fave beauty products at Whole Foods, and all proceeds go to Special Olympics. Pretty nifty, huh? Best part? The box is just $30, and it’s chock-full of natural awesomeness!
So, the DERMA E products included are a FULL SIZED Radiant Glow Face Oil, created by Alba, which contains a bit of shimmer (nothing garish, so no worries) to give your skin a dewy, radiant glow; a travel size of the Rose Cleansing Oil (see our review here); and a Purifying Scrub.
There’s a full sized Juice Beauty PHYTO-PIGMENTS Sheer Lip Gloss, which is another fab product- most of you know how much we love Juice Beauty, too (more on them coming soon)! Mineral Fusion is a brand I’ve heard of, but never tried, so I was pleased to find a nail enamel from the brand in Juicy Peach.
Another thing some of you may already know is that I have “thing” for fragrances. I love scents, especially ones that remind me of loved ones or good times. I’d been looking for a nice gardenia scent, as it reminds me of my grandma, which in turn invokes happy, peaceful memories. The Pacifica rollerball in Tahitian Gardenia in the box is absolutely perfect!
As my legs tend to be dry and itchy, I was happy to find a Dry Body Brush from EcoTools included. This was quite pleasant to use, it not only resulted in smoother skin after I used it and showered, but also seemed to stimulate circulation.
Growing up in Iowa, having been born in Omaha, Nebraska, I have no idea why I haven’t ever heard of Pacha Soap Company before, considering they’re in Nebraska. The sample of the brand’s Clarifying Charcoal Bar was a welcome treat! (I’ll most likely be doing a separate blog post and review of this soap, as well as the DERMA E Radiant Glow Face Oil, so make sure to keep checking back!)
Finally, there were some DERMA E pontail holders and a headband, which have been super helpful for my morning and evening skincare routines. Perfect for yoga, too! Overall, Alba has great taste in beauty products- and I love every item in the box.
