The COOLA SPF 20 Rose Essence CC Cream has a tint that will work with almost all skin types. I have medium skin, and Jerry is light, and it was suitable for both of us. It’s very sheer, so it will probably even work if you have dark skin. If you are very dark, you may want to mix a bit of darker makeup with it, such as the Cover FX Custom drops.
This sun protection in this formula is a result of titanium dioxide, so it’s perfect for those who are sensitive to zinc. 98% of the ingredients are natural, and include organic acai oil, which is high in Omegas 3, 6, and 9. Vitamins B1, B2, and B3, along with antioxidant Vitamins C and E, provide defense against aging. Organic sunflower seed extract promotes elasticity, organic linseed oil reduces irritation and redness, and organic cucumber extract calms the skin (COOLA Suncare, 2015).
This cruelty-free formula is marketed as ultra sheer, so if you’re looking for a lot of coverage, this is not it. But, since it’s so light, it’s fabulous under your foundation as a primer! It does have a bit of a sheen- which is perfect if you like a “glowy” look, but that can be toned down with a little powder. The sheen also makes it perfect under a foundation as it results in a beautiful, natural glow.
The great thing about COOLA is the variety- for example, the CC Cream is also available in an SPF 30 with a cucumber scent. And for those of you who don’t like fragrance, they have formulas for you, too! Overall, with the versatility and quality of this CC Cream, it’s definitely a winner!
