Bite Beauty and Sephora are offering a 250 point Beauty Insider reward during August, September, and October. Each month will feature a different color; August’s color was Bellini, a vibrant, electric pink. August’s reward included a Lush Fruit Lip Gloss, Luminous Crème Lipstick, and a little mirror. (I usually toss these little “filler” items, but my hubby often uses mirrors for his various man-projects, so he scored a reward as well!)
Pink is probably one of my least favorite colors, but when I saw this, it was so vibrant that I couldn’t stop staring at it. So, what the heck, I decided to try it out. After all, makeup is only temporary, so why not step outside my comfort zone and play around? Since it was so bright, I also pulled out my Urban Decay Electric palette and my Urban Decay glitter shadows. I actually thought about digging out some of my eighties clothes, but alas, there is no way they would still fit…lol!

I have yet to find a Bite product I don’t like. This company prides itself on all-natural ingredients, with the claim that their products are so natural you could eat them if you wanted to (don’t tempt me..). Considering they pack a healthy dose of resveratrol and other good stuff, those with dry lips like me will be happy. Both the gloss and lipstick were very pigmented, and neither, including the gloss, were sticky. And, as you can see, the gloss is almost as pigmented as the lipstick. Wear time was pretty good considering how moisturizing these are. They lasted two-three hours for me, which is great considering I always seem to be eating or drinking something. The best part is that when I washed my face, my lips were actually softer than they were before I put this stuff on.

Although I probably won’t wear this color much because it’s not “me,” it was truly a stunningly gorgeous color that will flatter many skin tones. While the reward set was limited edition and only available in August, you can still purchase the lipstick separately.
