Birchbox: December 2015

I’m a little late posting about this month’s Birchbox, we’ve just had SO much going on!  Since I’m a Birchbox Ace, I actually have a tiny bit of control over what I get, and I can make a choice, usually between two things.  For December, I chose the Winter Essentials box.

Nothing in this month’s choices seemed particularly exciting, but nothing seemed horrible, either.  My box contained the following:

Jane Iredale Just Kissed Lip and Cheek Stain in Forever Peach– I received this in a previous Birchbox, and I liked it.  Although it’s a repeat, it’s a welcome one, and will be great in my travel case.

Coastal Scents Eye Shadow Duo (emerald and gold)- I do not love Coastal Scents eyeshadows.  I have never found them to perform well enough on me to justify purchasing them.  However, companies are always making improvements, so I’m looking forward to trying this- maybe I will change my mind!

eSalon Perfect Ending Leave In Conditioner– Since I have long, thick, coarse, colored hair that gets tangled pretty easily, I’m looking forward to trying this out.

Derma e Microdermabrasion Scrub– I’ve found this type of scrub to be pretty harsh and irritating ever since I started using Retin-A.  The only microdermabrasion product I’ve found that isn’t irritating is Dr. Brandt’s Pore Dermabrasion.  But, I know many people love this, so it may be a great option for my hands!

Juara Coconut Illipe Hand and Nail Balm– Hand creams are a huge weakness of mine- I hoard them, lots of them.  This size makes it perfect to keep in my car’s console.

Chuao Chocolatier Cinnamon Cereal Smooch– This was a bonus item, and obviously, it did not last long enough to make it into my photo- THIS was the “wow” item of December’s box!  Bionova’s doctors recommended that I avoid chocolate, and I’ve been very good at heeding their advice.  So, since this was included in a Birchbox, I decided it was one of the few times I would “cheat,” since it’s for the good of the blog!  I don’t know if it’s just because I haven’t had chocolate in a long time, but this was darn delicious!  (Chuao Chocolatier- if you’re reading this, you might ought to send more, so I can accurately judge…lol 😉 )
