The weekend is here! Hooray for those of you who get weekends off!

If you’ve been keeping up with our site, you may already know that I used to dabble in bodybuilding. I did natural, no drugs, so of course, all my supplementation was natural. One of the things we tried out was stacking melatonin with 5-HTP, after reading evidence from several reputable sources showing that the combination could naturally increase HGH (human growth hormone). Increasing HGH could assist with muscle growth, fat loss, and help prevent aging, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

While we didn’t really have a quantitative method of proving or disproving the supplements’ effects on our HGH, we did notice a significant difference in our ability to fall asleep, as well as the quality of that sleep.

With Jerry’s snoring, and my odd schedule, it’s become more and more difficult to fall asleep, and to stay asleep. For some reason, if you work days and sleep nights, people respect your sleep. But, if you work nights and sleep days, they still feel it’s just fine to call at all hours while you’re trying to sleep! Lack of sleep when you’re a beauty blogger is counter to “beauty,” as it’s important not only for health, but for good skin!

So… I’m super pleased to have the opportunity to evaluate Avinol PM, a very well-researched natural supplement that contains my beloved 5-HTP and melatonin! Avinol PM is 100% natural, and a great non-addictive formula that can help ease you into a deep, quality sleep without side effects (Avinol PM, 2017). Cool beans, huh?

There has been a plethora of studies showing that a shortage of melatonin can cause irritability, fatigue, and the inability to sleep. 5-HTP is the metabolic precursor to serotonin (that “feel good” chemical), and can help improve your sleep pattern and mood (Avinol PM, 2017). This is the perfect combination to get quality sleep, and wake up refreshed and in a better mood. I’m SO down with this!!!

When I got my bottle in the mail, I was really impressed with the ingredients- in addition to the melatonin and 5-HTP, it includes L-theanine, lemon balm extract, chamomile extract, hops, passion flower extract, and orange peel (Avinol PM, 2017). So, it’s chock-full of well-thought out ingredients.

The only negative is that, like almost all quality, natural supplements, Avinol PM can be a bit pricey. But, if you order directly from their site, it’s risk-free, and if you’re not happy, you can send it back within 30 days. So, if you’re curious, you really should try it out.

The neat thing is that the tablets are the kind that dissolve in your mouth, so they work faster than a caplet that you have to swallow, then wait for it to break down in your digestive tract. The tablet had a pleasant flavor, kind of like lime, and dissolved fairly quickly, it only took a few minutes.

While the Avinol PM didn’t do anything to stop or reduce Jerry’s snoring, it DID help me ignore it much more easily, and I slept like a LOG. Of course, as always, the phone rang several times during my “night time,” and I did wake up- which is good because if there’s an emergency, I won’t be “unwakeable” as I would be with a drug. After the phone rang, I was able to go right back to sleep, without issue.

Another good thing about a more restful, happy, sleep is that I’m less likely to wrinkle. Jerry says I often scowl in my sleep- I have a lot of stress, even when falling asleep. Now that I have a more peaceful sleep, he said I wasn’t scowling as much. Woo hoo!

When I woke up, I felt much more refreshed. There was no grogginess like there is when I’ve taken an antihistamine for my allergies (diphenhydramine, which is the same active ingredient in many sleeping medications). Overall, I’m quite impressed with Avinol PM, and would recommend it to anyone.

If you’d like a better, more peaceful and restful sleep, and want to wake up in a better mood, you really should pay a visit to avinol.com and check it out!
