Well, I’ve become disenchanted with Birchbox. This is the second month in a row that I did NOT get what I was supposed to get. Additionally, this is the second month in a row with ugly packaging. There was always bright colored tissue paper; now it’s just this ugly thin piece of black foam. What’s up with that, Birchbox? (Although I’m mad at Sephora right now, Birchbox needs to take a lesson from them…js…)
I missed out on getting the Au Naturale trio that I was supposed to get, but I’m happy with the Tata Harper, at least. Here’s what was in my April box:
Briogeo Don’t Despair, Repair! Deep Conditioning Mask– Having long thick hair, this seems promising. I can’t wait to try it out!
Burt’s Bees Lipstick in Brimming Berry– The good thing about this is that it’s full size! The bad thing, the shade is SO not me! This will probably be passed on to a friend.
Parlor by Jeff Chastain Volumizing Lifting Spray– With such thick hair, this isn’t really something I need, but it will be fun to try out.
Supergoop! Daily Correct CC Cream SPF 35– I generally like Supergoop products, but this shade is too light for my medium-toned skin. I’m kind of glad because the size of this is SO tiny, that if it actually worked for me, I’d be disappointed.
Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask– This is the one item I’m most excited about. I’ve never tried anything from Tata Harper, but I’ve heard good things, so I’ll be trying this ASAP!
Overall, this was just an okay box. I’m really disappointed that they screwed up two months in a row, and I would have really liked to try the Au Naturale. I’d happily give up the Supergoop or Burt’s Bees for it…lol! (Nothing against those brands, the particular product shades just didn’t work for me!)
