Alteya Organics sent me their Rose Jasminium Active Vitality Energizing Eye Cream to try out! As you can imagine, I was really excited about this since I was so pleased with the Bio Damascena cream, and couldn’t wait to get this stuff onto my eye area!
For those who aren’t familiar with the brand, Alteya Organics is a family-owned company that grows and harvests roses and lavender. They distill premium organic rose and lavender essential oils, as well as flower waters, using recipes that are generations old. After years of research, they enhanced their proprietary steam-distillation method that combines science with 400 years of tradition. When I first opened the jar, it almost looked like it would be a balm texture. But then when I dipped a bit out, it was like a heavy cream- thick, but not like petroleum jelly. It has a very nice consistency, and even with the thickness, it was SO easy to spread, and didn’t my skin feel “suffocated” like heavier balms do.
The cream has a beautiful, fresh rose scent that’s natural, not fake. If you’re sensitive to fragrance, it may seem a bit much at first, but it does dissipate quickly, so no worries. I have horrific allergies and VERY sensitive eyes, and I’ve had ZERO issues with this.
I found that I can stash this in the fridge, and it’s even more soothing, especially during my really bad allergy attacks where my eyes are all sore and puffy- it does a great job of “calming” them down, reducing puffiness and irritation.
The cream wears well by itself, with other skincare products, and under makeup. After just a few weeks of using twice per day, the fine lines in my eye area look plumped, and the skin looks bright and hydrated. But, this is no surprise, considering how well I liked the brand’s face cream!
