February 2017 Ipsy Glam Bag: Any Good Stuff?

It’s that time again- my Ipsy Glam Bag has arrived!  This is the one bag I’ve been consistently happy with (gotta knock on wood now…lol), and February is no exception!

If you’re not familiar with Ipsy, you get five products and a (usually) cute bag every month for just ten bucks, shipping is always free.  You ALWAYS get MORE than ten dollars’ worth of goodies, and you get points for reviewing the products on Ipsy’s site.  The points are redeemable for even MORE products, including some great full-sized stuff.  I recently got a full-sized Lime Crime liquid lipstick, and just ordered an Hourglass primer, too!

This month’s bag has some good stuff, but I hate to say it, the bag itself is UGLY.  It’s a denim print fabric with bright orange trim and zipper.  No offense Ipsy, but it’s just bad.  Although, the past few months they’ve done pretty well with the cuteness factor, so I can’t really complain!

So, what was inside the bag?

February 2017 Ipsy Glam Bag

-Naked Cosmetics Banana Powder– This seems to be full-sized, and it retails for $14.99.  I’ve never tried anything from the brand, and I love banana powders, so I’m excited about this!

-Bellapierre VolumeLash Mascara– I’ve liked the other products I’ve tried from the brand, and volumizing mascaras are my fave.  Looking forward to using this, plus it’s full size!

-Lord & Berry Eyeliner– I’ve gotten one of these in another subscription, and it was a decent liner.  This will be a great addition to my travel case.

-True Botanicals Resurfacing Moisture Mask– This is another new-to-me brand, so more excitement!  It contains one of my top favorite ingredients, lactic acid.  Can’t wait to try it!

-NYX Butter Lipstick in “Lifeguard”- Another full-sized product!  This is a gorgeous red shade, and I’ve never tried any of the Butter lipsticks from the brand, so very happy!  However, I think when I complete my review questions, I’ll let them know this brand is “not for me,” so I won’t get anything more from NYX.  But, don’t get me wrong, I DO LOVE NYX.  I’ve been happy with every NYX product I’ve tried.  That being said, I signed up for Ipsy to try new brands I’ve never heard of or tried before.  It just so happens that a store, literally a block away from our house, started carrying NYX.  Needless to say, I’ve gotten quite a bit from them…lol!  So, I figure I’ll free up that spot for a brand I’m less likely to have tried.

Overall, despite the ugly bag, well cone, Ipsy!  I’m super happy with every single item I got in this month’s Glam Bag, especially with THREE FULL-SIZED products!  The Naked Cosmetics powder alone retails for $15.00, the mascaras on the Bellapierre website are around $20.00 each, so this bag was definitely well-worth the ten bucks!

If you’re curious about Ipsy, I encourage you to try it out, you can cancel any time you want, no strings attached!  Just click to for more info or to sign up!
