Hey everyone! Wow, I can’t believe Thanksgiving will be here in just a few days, time is going by WAY too fast!
With the colder, drier winter weather, our skin needs a little extra TLC. So, it’s the perfect time to re-evaluate our skincare routines- which makes skincare the perfect gift to someone we care about, or to ourselves…lol!
I’ve put together a list of some of my top picks for the season- many companies have some great deals on holiday gift sets, too, so that’s even more reason to start shopping!
Bionova was founded by a renowned Russian doctor and scientist, Dr. Danielov. The products are based on nanotechnology, and the ingredients are bioactive- they mimic what is naturally found in the human body, so our skin can actually use the ingredients.
Bionova is perfect for the picky person on your list, as well as those who are techno-savvy. They will even custom make skincare products tailored to you- meaning there is only a one in sixty-million chance that someone else will have the same formula as you!
Juice Beauty products are a go-to for those who are eco-conscious and want organic ingredients, yet at the same time want ingredients that are scientifically formulated and effective. The brand has fantastic products for acne, hyperpigmentation, wrinkles, you name it.
The Juice Beauty Holiday Shop has some mega-awesome deals, with sets containing full-sized products at drastically reduced prices. Some of my faves are the GREEN APPLE and STEM CELLULAR collections as these are geared toward anti-aging. I’ve been quite happy with everything I’ve tried from them.
I’ve really been loving Elemis lately- I hadn’t tried anything from the brand until recently. I’d heard so much about them, and now I’ve discovered why so many in the UK include the brand in their list of HG products!
This is another brand where I haven’t disliked anything I’ve tried so far. The eye masks are great for allergy eyes, and I never want to be without their Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm, or cult-fave Marine Cream. I also really like their facial oil, as it’s the only kind I’ve found so far that I can actually wear under makeup.
Omorovicza is another lux spa brand, that I absolutely adore and was using long before we ever started blogging. Their copper peel is amazing, it’s like doing a science project on your face (I know that doesn’t sound very spa-like, but it’s just THAT awesome). The Rejuvenating Night Cream and Instant Plumping Mask are awesome, as well.
They have a foaming cleanser that’s great at getting your skin really clean, but without stripping all the moisture. The first tube I had, I actually cut the end off when I ran out to get every last bit out…lol! And their Queen of Hungary mist is another must-have cult-fave. They even have travel sizes, so it’s great to take on trips, especially when battling the dry air on an airplane.
Pixi Beauty has some really amazing skincare products, called “Skintreats.” Their Glow Tonic has a cult following and is an HG toner for many. It contains glycolic acid to keep your skin looking fresh, and keep the impurities at bay. The Glow Tonic is especially great after using the Pixi x Caroline Hirons Double Cleanse.
They also have great face mists, there’s a mist for every possible need you may have. Their Glow Mud mask and cleanser are also to die for. Even better, if you’re budget-conscious, but still want high-quality products with a lux feel, you can’t go wrong with Pixi.
TIME TO SPA
TimetoSpa is home to several brands of luxury skincare, including thsoe from the site’s parent company, Steiner. Many of these products have huge followings, and consistently top many beauty editors’ lists. They carry brands such as Elemis, La Therapie, Bliss, Laboratoire Remede, Go Smile, NuFace, and Elemis.
I’ve recently been trying out several things from Elemis, as well as the California Sun Glow bronzer, GoSmile Sonic Blue, and Jou Sweet Enough supplement- and have fallen in love. The customer service is second to none, and they’re always having fantastic sales and freebies.
This is another very affordable brand with quality ingredients, especially if you’re eco-conscious. The products are formulated with natural and organic ingredients that will have your wintery skin looking festival-ready in no time.
DERMA E has a really popular microdermabrasion scrub that’s great if you have a lot of dry, dead skin. This stuff will leave you glowing in no time! There is also a collection of Vitamin C products that are formulated with a stable form of C, so you get the most bang for your buck.
Exuviance has a huge following due to their scientifically-proven ingredients and formulas. Exuviance, along with its sister brand, NeoStrata, was founded by Drs. Van Scot and Yu, the original patent-holders of the glycolic (lunchtime) peel.
If you need expertly formulated anti-aging skincare ingredients, then Exuviance is a great brand to try. Plus, they have products with polyhydroxy acids, a newer form of alphahydroxy acid, that are less irritating, so they’re great for those with sensitive skin.
If you love the idea of getting super clean skin from using a sonic device, but don’t like to constantly buy buy new brush heads, or need something a bit more gentle, then FOREO is for you. I have a Luna Mini and Luna Mini 2, and they give me a fantastic clean, so my skincare products absorb better.
Additionally, they have a blue light acne treatment system, as well as skincare products. They also make the Issa toothbrush, which has even been featured on Star Trek Discovery!
This is a newer brand, and it’s based on probiotics, so the ingredients are bio-available. Since it’s a new brand, they started with four (amazing) products, including a cleanser, mask, day moisturizer, and night cream. They recently added a new Glow oil that’s got some great anti-aging ingredients.
The cool thing with Nayelle is that while they are focused on anti-aging, the regimen is perfect for all skin types, including sensitive. So, if you have sensitivities or are prone to irritation, this is definitely a brand worth checking into.
Jan Marini Skin Research is sold in doctors’ offices and spas, as well as janmarini.com. They have some fantastic serums with highly concentrated ingredients. My faves are the Hyla3D and C-Esta Serum, both are superbly formulated.
Jan Marini also does exfoliators really well- there’s a great Clean Zyme and Skin Zyme Duo, a unique two-step exfoliation system, as well as the super-decadent Marini Holiday Exfoliator (it’s smells like sugar cookies and looks like cookie dough!). Plus, there’s an awesome Happy Hyla-Days Bundle that includes the Holiday Exofoliator, Hyla3D, and Hyla3D Lip, all for a reduced price.
Like Omorovicza, Tatcha is one of those brands that I was using before we started blogging. I have to say, that I was using the Dewy Skin Mist when it first came out, long before certain YouTubers made it popular…lol!
The rice enzyme powders are amazing, and the Indigo Body Butter is wonderful for soothing eczema or itchy skin. If you like face oils, the Gold Camellia oil is perfect, even for oily skin- and it makes a lux gift. Jerry and I both really like the Camellia Gold Lip Balm, which is a must for dry winter weather!
There are SO many great products, and a lots of super-duper deals over the holidays. Keep checking back as we’ll be posting regularly with discounts and other specials! Happy Haul-idays!!
